The Adventure Life

The adventure life is about living a fitter, stronger, healthier, longer, more adventurous life. It’s not just about getting outside, but getting outside of this comfortable little world that we have created for ourselves. It’s about facing challenges and overcoming fears that have stood in our path for way too long. It’s about discovering and developing strategies to help make all of this happen.

And while the adventure life is outside, the adventurer is within us, and if we don't take a look deep inside ourselves, we will never overcome what is keeping us from becoming the person we desire to be.

But, it’s also about taking a long look at ourselves and starting the reprogramming that can make all of these things possible. Because, ultimately the adventure starts on the inside.

Becoming Stronger and Fitter
Living the adventure life demands this of us. But by becoming stronger and fitter it allows us to climb higher mountains, swim across wider (and colder) lakes, squeeze through tighter caves, or almost anything else you can think of. All at times of day, or during conditions that are a little beyond what the average person will endure. By living the adventure life, we elevate ourselves beyond the average. Way beyond! And by going a little higher, or farther, when its a little hotter, or colder, or wetter, chances are that we will have the place all to ourselves. Well, almost.

Living Longer
Cliche Alert - The goal is to put more life in our years, not just more years in our life. More adventurous years! The irony is that by living a more adventurous life, we are already adding more and better years, and with just a few more tweaks we can add a lot more.

Being Happier
Happiness is what every human being strives for. It drives every decision we make in life, period. And yet, for most of us, we have such a difficult time enjoying happiness from most of the decisions that we make. The goal is to figure out why we have made the decisions that we made and how to make better ones in the future. If the decisions that we make are in agreement with the life we want to live, then ultimately we will be "happy".

Becoming a Better Person
The person that we are today is most likely not the person we would have chosen to become, but the person we were programmed to be. We accept this because we have an overwhelming desire to fit into the tribe that we are a member of. But by seeking to improve ourselves everyday we tell ourselves - we will not be complacent and accept the status quo and we will not blindly follow the path that has been designated for us. We will embrace change and develop our own path, an adventurous one of our own design.

In Conclusion
This lifestyle isn't easy. It's not supposed to be. But the more we do it, the "easier" it will feel. Besides, if we want easy, the couch is just across the room and a pizza is just a phone call away. There is a whole incredible world of adventures out there, but it isn't for the weak of heart, body, or mind. But with some work and determination, it is all ours for the taking!
See you out there!
